Manny Mania

Last Saturday I announced the Redbull Manny Mania. This was an open event, so a ton of people came out to both skate and spectate. After weeding down some of the pre-lim heats, there was some seriously good skating to watch for the semi's and finals. Some of the highlights were Marshell Heath's switch manny tricks. These included switch flip in and out of mannys and switch manny to switch varial heelflip out. Nate Jackson killed the A Frame manny pad with a bunch of sick shuv-it combinations, and Kyle Burroughs showed off his balance with using the a frame as one feature going up and down with precise balance and technique. The winner at the end of the day was Dillon Buss. This kid came up from Cape Cod and shredded everything in front of him. Every manny combination was thrown down, and he looked outside the box and got very technical with flip in flip out combos, and grind in shov-it out combos. Congradulations goes out to Dillon for killing it, and a huge thanks to Matt Fasano, Pete Brinkerhoff, Mary Walsh, the MSI crew, and of course Red Bull and Embasi for throwing down the contest.

New York City........

I was just in NYC hosting the Redbull Experiment for Kevin Robinson. This was a pretty crazy production and there were thousands of people in central park to watch Kevin try to break the world record air on a bike. Things got dramatic when he was having some trouble riding away from the 20ft plus airs. He became a victor and broke the current world record of 26.5 feet by 6 inches. I had a great time and got to meet David Letterman and Talib Kweli. Congradulations to Kevin for a spectatcular event. Thanks to Redbull and EXPN for having me host the event.

Hey everyone.

I am apparently a little behind the times, because everyone has a blog now. I am going to give it a shot, and show people what I have been doing and talk about my travels.

thanks a ton
